  • Connar displayed a prodigious ability for understanding physical systems (particularly counter intuitive ones) early in life. Friends and family often remarked that Connar was quick to solve problems in unusual ways and seemed to have endless fascination with world around.
  • Described as A gifted student, Connar was mentored by a Jesuit priest named Duncan MacDuff, who tutored him in mathematics and science and ultimately help gain admittance to Trinity College, where he would earn a PhD in Physics.
  • He lived a prosperous life on a farm with his beautiful wife, Lilly, and their son, John.

The Tragedy of 1845

  • During the Irish Potato Famine, Connar's farm continued to produce crops, drawing the attention of Illuminati explorers who accidentally reopened the ancient rift beneath his land.
  • To contain the resulting infection, a Templar leader known as Nicodemus (the "god slayer") ordered the destruction of the surrounding area, including Connar's home.
  • Templar forces trapped Connar's wife and son inside their burning house, leaving them to burn in house.
  • Fueled by the awakened power of his bloodline, Connar broke out of the burning house and attacked his family's murderers before being struck down with a sword through his heart.

Resurrection and Training

  • Connar was resurrected by the mysterious entity known as the Buzzing and awoke on a ship to Kyoto, tended to by an agent of the Dragon.
  • He spent five years in Kyoto studying ancient magic, Chaos philosophy, and swordsmanship.
  • After presenting his philosophy of "Zencraft" to the head of the Dragon, she renamed him "Xencraft," and sent him to North America.
  • He trained for another five years with two allies, Boon and Wolf, learning to use a pistol and hunt supernatural threats.

The Secret Wars and the Republic's 108th

  • Connar spent decades thwarting Templar expansion across the Americas, including blocking their efforts during the US Civil War.
  • In 1890 at Wounded Knee, Connar and his allies clashed with Nicodemus to protect a dragon shaman and a sacred artifact; Connar decapitated Nicodemus, though the Templar survived through supernatural means.
  • He clashed with Nicodemus again during the Boxer Rebellion in Beijing, beginning a 39-year rivalry.
  • During the 1916 Irish uprising, Connar raised an army in his hometown of Greenfield, the Mac Tíre Taibhse (the Republic's 108th) to fight British Templars who were looting occult artifacts.
  • He successfully defended Greenfield during a massive, magically-infused siege, leading directly to the creation of the Templar Branch of Irish Free State.

  • He single-handedly decimated the Axis’s paranormal battalions across Eastern Europe, earning the terrifying moniker die entgegenkommenden Sturm (the oncoming storm).
  • In the tunnels beneath Berlin in 1945, Connar confronted Nicodemus one final time, defeating the god slayer by pushing him into the grasp of a great mollusk god.
  • He was subsequently put on trial at Nuremberg by a vengeful Templar named Adam Worth but was released thanks to the political backing of the Illuminati, Soviets, and Americans.

The Modern Era

  • During the Cold War, British SAS forces occupied Greenfield to steal Caladbolg, a legendary sword of unimaginable power.
  • Connar wiped out the elite forces in under 12 hours, reclaimed the sword, and went on the run before finally being cornered by a European Templar army at the Giant's Causeway, where he destroyed the weapon.
  • He later played a crucial role in negotiating the supernatural parameters of the Good Friday Accords, securing Greenfield for the Dragon faction on the condition that he never traveled north again.
  • Today, Connar lives on his newly reconstructed farm, watching over a modernized, bustling Greenfield where cryptids, magi, and humans secretly live side-by-side.
